[2] 余中元. 地理專業英語. 成都: 西南交通大學出版社, 2008
[3] 李頡, 張永庭. 地理科學專業英語. 銀川: 寧夏大學出版社, 2011
尤其是前兩本，相對比較常見。
第一本和其他兩本的編排風格差異較大，第一本主要是面向外國學生參加「高考」使用的參考書，圖文並茂，內容符合英國的教學內容，正因為語言地道，所以有助於擴充單詞量（生詞多）、有助於閱讀復雜的句式（句式常不符合漢語思維）。第二和第三本，則主要是外文科普級別的材料選摘，內容簡單，篇幅不長，生詞相對有限（特別是第三本生詞非常少）。
由於上述三本教材都明顯缺乏英語論文閱讀指導（例如論文結構、摘要寫法）、英語使用實踐（例如幻燈片製作、口頭報告）、翻譯技巧等方面的內容，因此實際教學中可能會額外加入相關內容，加入的課時比例根據教師安排。
